Peter Rabbit Day Care is open from 6:30am until 6:00pm Monday through Friday. We are closed for the six major holidays during the year, including the day after Thanksgiving. Otherwise, we are reliably open. Security is an important issue to us and we have our doors locked at all times. Individual codes allow staff and parents to enter the building anytime during business hours, and of course, parents are welcome to visit at any time!
Rachel Cohen, the owner, has been in the child care/education business for over 28 years, and also owns and operates Peter Rabbit Nursery School at 108th and College. Educationally, Mrs. Cohen has earned both her undergraduate and Masters' degrees in Early Childhood Education. We are a structured, learning center, and offer a preschool curriculum as it’s age appropriate to do so. A full day Kindergarten rounds out our educational program. Special activities - Spanish lessons, musical keyboard, beginning art, and dance lessons - are available at the parents' discretion.
Summer is an especially busy time with magicians, sprinkler days, face painting, obstacle courses, animal shows, story lady, swim and tennis lessons to mention a few.
Conveniently located at 116th Street and College Avenue in Carmel we are 1/2 mile east of Meridian Street.
